A&B Home expects to be in its new, 325,000-square-foot warehouse in the Sacramento, Calif.-area by Oct. 15.
Home décor manufacturer and designer A&B Home is opening a 325,000-square-foot warehouse/distribution center in the Sacramento, Calif. area.
The company also announced that it will open a new headquarters in its hometown of Rancho Cucamonga. The company expects to be in the new facilities by Oct. 15 and will ship orders from both locations until then.
“Our focus and commitment to excellent customer care will not diminish through this challenging adjustment period,” said A&B Home owner Ming Hong. “We are looking forward to the years ahead, in which we continue to be an industry leader when the storm that is 2020 passes for sunnier days. It is with this positive spirit that we are making these changes to further set us apart from our competitors.”
Hong said the decision to move warehousing operations came down to savings, both for the company and its customers.
“No matter how the retail industry changes, reducing the cost and passing the value along to our customers is still one of our main goals,” Hong said. “While the warehouse cost in Los Angeles is historically high, we have found a much better home for us in Woodland, Calif.”
The new facility will feature a new racking system plus equipment to double the capacity A&B Home could offer in its 200,000-square-foot warehouse in Rancho Cucamonga.
“This new equipment will help us use less manpower to handle shipping and logistics,” Hong said. “This investment, in the long term, will lower our logistics cost, so we can offer better and competitive pricing to our valued customers.”
