IMAX Worldwide Home has made two personnel moves to boost its sales and marketing efforts.
The Tulsa, Okla., based supplier of home furnishings and accessories has named John Rains, former vice president of IT Systems and eCommerce Sales, as its vice president of Sales, and Arda Bulak has been promoted to vice president of Marketing and Business Development.
In his new role, Rains will oversee all sales activity for the company including managing reps in the various territories and all eCommerce business operations. Rains attended the University of Tulsa, graduating in 1986 with a bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis on Management of Information Systems. He previously served 16 years as vice president of sales for Austral, Inc., a consulting and solutions company focusing on the home décor industry. He is passionate about serving others and very involved in the Life Church and The Rotary Club of Tulsa.
Bulak graduated with honors from Emory University Goizueta Business School with an MBA in marketing management. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and government from University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Wash. He brings a passion for innovation and digital transformation to IMAX Worldwide Home and oversaw the design and development of the company’s new website/marketing platform and email marketing systems.
“I am excited to work closely with John Rains to reshape IMAX to push the boundaries of our industry in the new decade,” Bulak said.
In regard to the changes, Al Bulak, president of IMAX said, “Our industry has experienced extreme changes in market conditions these past few years; eCommerce’s continued influence on brick-and-mortar stores, economic volatility, geo-political unrest and changing consumer demographics. Through these challenges IMAX has been analyzing and restructuring to be more efficient and productive, and these moves are in alignment with our plan for continued forward momentum.”
