Wall Decor For Living Room Home Depot

Wall Decor For Living Room Home Depot – Not sure how to decorate your open concept home? I was there! When we moved into our new home five years ago, I was grateful for a large living room in the center of our home. But it also presented a problem because we saw it all day, every day. I wanted it to be beautiful and functional, but I didn’t know how to make all the empty space work! Additionally, our TV and media consoles need to be front and center, which is a common design challenge. After years of working in this room, I recently accomplished some of my long-term goals! Today I’m excited to partner with The Home Depot to share living room decorating ideas to create a space you’ll love. Whether you’re looking to spruce up your media console, fill an empty corner, or add comfort to your space, I hope these tips are helpful.

Here are some photos of our living room this spring. I have worked in this space for years and have loved it so much! But also work things.

How To Hang A Heavy Picture

I’m new when it comes to home projects with power tools. However, after seeing several friends install their own wall molding, I wanted to give it a try. I decided to go with picture frame molding because it’s classic style and relatively easy to install.

I’ll be sharing an in-depth post on how I installed the wall molding in the coming weeks, but wanted to list the products used in case you’re ready to tackle the project! Home Depot had everything I needed to transform my space and bring my vision to life.

After installing the wall trim, I was ready to work on my trim. Here are my living room decorating ideas to enhance your space with statement pieces.

In my opinion, this is the best way to fill an empty corner in your living room. We previously had an olive tree so I decided to switch things up with this gorgeous faux flower tree. The texture and movement it adds is awesome!

How To Choose A Monochromatic Living Room Color Scheme

Surrounded by white furniture, our light coffee table just didn’t work. I wanted more contrast! This walnut coffee table warms up the living room, and the turned spindle legs add an element of craftsmanship. It also comes fully assembled which is always a plus for me.

I also added this antique brass end table next to our couch. It’s taller than our old side table, which is an update, and the metal adds contrast to the space. Changing accent tables is a great way to change the look of your living room without replacing the main furniture!

The wall composition made a huge difference, but I still wanted to find a way to fill the space to the left of our media console. Our home has stripes on the main level and I thought this 71″ x 32″ arched mirror was the perfect compliment. My kids love making faces on it too 😉 The mirror reflects our gallery wall so well! Can’t get enough of this view.

Once you’ve chosen your statement pieces and filled in the blanks, it’s time to think about accents. They are great for adding comfort and character with accents and Home Depot has tons of options!

Worthy Walls Medallions

I like to keep my coffee table decor basic with a large vase and a selection of coffee table books. The texture of this ceramic pot vase is great and it won’t fall off if my kids hit it on the table. Have you noticed that I can’t turn off my mommy brain?

For the media console, I decided to change things up with a larger lamp. I had been eyeing this large rattan table lamp for months and was excited to add it to our space! Pairing it with these empire shades created a vintage look. A gray planter and charcoal bowl fill the space under the TV, and I love this wood chain accent. Finally, these decorative boxes are suitable for remotes.

Is there a more interesting decoration to buy than a pillow? I love the texture of these woven pillows and this classic plaid. This knotted blanket was perfect for the back of our couch and also helps keep it clean since our kitchen is just a few steps away!

I ended up on the left side of the living room with a large basket for throwing extras. Cute baskets are one of my favorite ways to hide toys, shoes, and medicine around our house. You can also try combining two different baskets for a stacked look.
